Every white paint has an undertone — a subtle hint of another colour that becomes apparent on walls. In Chelsea's period properties, with their high ceilings and large windows, these undertones are more noticeable than in modern homes.
**Warm whites (yellow/pink undertone):** Pointing, White Tie, Slipper Satin, Joa's White. These feel welcoming and work beautifully in rooms with cool north light.
**Cool whites (blue/grey undertone):** All White, Blackened, Wevet. These feel crisp and contemporary, best in south-facing rooms with warm light.

**School House White (Farrow & Ball No.291):** Warmer than Wimborne White with a gentle cream tone. Excellent for entire rooms where pure white feels too stark.
